Partnership with the German Biogas Association

In 2016, the German Biogas Association (Fachverband Biogas e.V.) and the Indian Biogas Association have entered into a partnership (The Indo-German Biogas partnership, BIG-P) working on a three-year project to foster the development of the biogas industry in India. This project aims at strengthening the capacity of IBA so that IBA can offer its member and other interested parties nationwide demand-oriented services. IBA-GBA partnership also purposes to build a strong network of IBA members to advocate and influence policy related to biogas sector.

The project successfully completed its first phase in 2018 and currently in the second phase.

Partnership with the ENAMA

In 2015, IBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ENAMA. The signed MoU aimed to enhance technical cooperation among the Parties and connected companies and farms, through the extensive exchange of information and sharing of knowledge, promotion of research and agro-business development in the field of sustainable agricultural and technology transfer, including the certification as a tool to improve efficiency and quality.

Partnership with the Brazil Biogas Association

In July 2020, IBA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Brazil Biogas Association (ABiogas). The signed MoU aimed to enhance technical cooperation, capacity building, training activities, policy support in the biogas industry. The MOU will also facilitate cooperation in between the two organizations through the extensive exchange of information and sharing of knowledge, promotion of research and sustainable development in the field of biogas in India and in Brazil.
